As the UK’s premium bespoke window furnishing specialists, we always love to see where interior design will take us next. Which is why we are proud to be the headline sponsor of this year’s London Evening Standard Home Design Awards, where the publication invites interiors addicts, decorators and renovators across the nation to share their home makeover projects for a chance to win £1,000 worth of luxury prizes.
The awards are split into five categories that include kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, bedrooms and gardens. Giving both homeowners and renters, from professional home decorators to innovative DIYers, the opportunity to showcase their imaginative and thoughtful renovations, whatever the budget or size. From ingenious DIY hacks and reclaimed furniture fixes to luxury finishes and confident paint choices.
10 winners will then be chosen by an expert panel of judges that include Janice Morley, editor of Homes & Property; Dan Hopwood, former president of the British Institute of Interior Design; and award-winning design writer Barbara Chandler, who is eager to see the real-life homes of Evening Standard readers. “I’ll be asking ‘What makes this room different? Does it shout out the ideas, tastes, lifestyle, imagination, inspirations of its owners? I’ll be looking for colour flair, careful use of space, clever materials and practicality. Does this room work?”
Judging is set to take place at Sketch, London’s most instagrammable design hotspot, on 3rd June 2019, with the winning room designs from each category then photographed and featured in a special print supplement of the Evening Standard and across their digital and social media platforms.
