Installing shutters in your home has the potential to increase the value of your property and enhance the atmosphere of each room they are installed in. Plantation shutters, made from wood, and Vinyl Shutters, engineered from hardwearing lightweight uPVC, can be designed and manufactured to fit any window in a variety of styles.
With a light colour shutter and larger louvres, the loss of light will not be more than 13% when the shutters are closed but the louvres are open. Depending on the location and circumstances, you may find you have more light, which is easily controllable.
Potentially the shutter can be fitted straight onto the door if the frame allows it, or surface mounted if the window recess is deep enough. If this is not possible, your local Thomas Sanderson designer will help you explore other options and find the perfect solution for your home.
Unfortunately not. As our products are bespoke, and our fittings too, this all comes with the service and forms part of your guarantee.
All of our shutters are uniquely handcrafted in our Kenilworth factory in Coventry, right here in the UK.
This will vary on the material and style of your new window furnishing, but on average it takes 2-4 weeks for Vinyl Shutters and 4-6 weeks for Wooden Shutters.
Because our shutters are made to measure, we cannot quote based only on measurements of your windows. Our home design visit is totally free, and forms part of our end-to-end service.
Because our products are all handcrafted to the nearest millimetre, your new windows need to be in place so we can give you an accurate quote. We would suggest allowing three days after they have been installed before having a Thomas Sanderson design consultation.
