At Thomas Sanderson we’re very excited to announce that we’ll be exhibiting at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show from 20th – 24th May 2014 – the biggest event in the gardening world’s calendar.
The Chelsea Flower Show has been a platform for ground-breaking garden designs for over 100 years. And as the UK’s leading blind manufacturer, Thomas Sanderson will be there to show visitors our beautiful range of window coverings – the perfect way to marry your garden to your home.
Taking place in the grounds of Chelsea Hospital, the show has been held every year since 1913 – only being put on hold during the two World Wars. And this year we’ll be back to showcase our latest window blind designs amongst 244 other exhibitors.
Tickets are sought-after and sell out quickly, but if you’re a member of the Royal Horticultural Society, you’ll get exclusive access to the show on 20th and 21st May before it opens to other ticket holders on 22nd May.
Displays to look out for in 2014
The garden displays are split into three categories – Show, Artisan and Fresh Garden – and you’re encouraged to take inspiration from the displays for your own garden.
This year 26 year old Hugo Bugg, former winner of RHS Young Designed of the Year, will be laying out his first garden at the Chelsea Flower Show. His design will highlight global water issues and demonstrate how home gardeners can manage storm water in their own gardens.
You should also look out for the Beatrix Potter-inspired herb garden and the installation in the Great Pavilion to commemorate 100 years since the outbreak of the First World War.
And Matt Keightley’s Hope on the Horizon is a moving display based on his brother’s experiences serving in Afghanistan.
