Now could be the time for property owners planning to sell to consider value-adding features, such as window shutters, as the number of house hunters increases.
According to new figures from the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA), the number of aspiring buyers registered per branch increased from 258 in February to 274 in March.
The same period also saw the number of sales agreed per branch climb from an average of seven in February to eight in March, as available properties for sale per branch also rose from 56 the previous month to 60 in March.
According to NAEA, this is the highest level of housing stock recorded over the last six months, which is an encouraging month for the property market and good news to those planning to sell.
To increase their chances of appealing to buyers, property owners can install window shutters, which can be particularly attractive as the summer approaches as they provide privacy and protect against weather.
